About Paul Wolinski (65 Days of Static)

Best known as part of the experimental band 65daysofstatic, Paul Wolinski has spent the last two decades releasing numerous studio albums and touring the world. Always eager to explore less conventional ways to make and present music, amongst other projects, the band composed the ‘infinite’ soundtrack to No Man’s Sky and performed their algorithmically-driven live A/V performance Decomposition Theory around Europe. Paul has released several solo albums, most recently Telex From MIDI City (Data Airlines, 2023) under the guise of Polinski, and also completed a PhD that explored how hand-crafted generative music systems could be used in the context of bands and pop music. He is currently working as a composer/music designer on a highly-anticipated new video game, and has worked in various audio, sound design and programming roles on a number of indie games.

About Paul Weir (Audio Director/Composer, Hello Games)

Paul Weir is an audio director, composer, sound designer and voice director working in games, generative sound design, video production and radio. As a freelancer working through his company Earcom, he’s released over 70 games, often the sole audio person on the project. As audio director for Hello Games’ innovative and multi-award winning procedural space game, No Man’s Sky and the upcoming Light No Fire, Paul is responsible for all of the sound design, additional music, audio tools development and overall creative audio direction across multiple platforms. He lectures in game audio and has run several university courses alongside being a regular conference speaker.
