Music Composed by Christopher Wong, Garrett Crosby, Ian Rees
Moviescore Media released today the original score for the 2026 drama comedy feature film, A ROOM CALLED HOME (Nhà Ba Tôi Một Phòng), directed by Truong Giang and starring Doan Minh Anh, Truong Giang and Kieu Minh Tuan.
In an old apartment complex, a family lives in a single cramped room where the bond between a conservative father and his dream-filled Gen Z daughter is tested as generational differences collide within the confined space. An intimate slice of contemporary Vietnamese family life, where love often begins with understanding.
“A Room Called Home is the story of working class single father Thach, who endures hardship and sacrifice in hopes of helping his teenage daughter An fulfill her dreams of going to fashion school in London. I crafted a sentimental tune resembling a lullabye to represent the love between these two characters – the most straightforward representation of this tune is in the ‘Opening Titles’, and reiterates several times through the score, particularly in the heartfelt closing act of the film. When An begins seeing a handsome and edgy young man who plays electric guitar, we realized it brought the opportunity to involve electric guitar driven rock and electro-pop music in the scenes involving their secret romance. Co-composers Garrett Crosby and Ian Rees helped to bring gravitas to the heartache scenes and comedy to the rock music scenes, rounding out an eclectic score.” – Christopher Wong
