Film Music Prague 2018 presents a very special night gala, the world premiere of a fully symphonic Clint Mansell’s music concert, with the composer in attendance. This British composer scored following movies: Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, Moon, Noah or Black Swan. The concert will be the world premiere of fully symphonic music of Clint Mansell.
British composer Clint Mansell was the leader and guitarist of British pop group Pop Will Eat Itself and began composing soundtracks when his friend, director Darren Aronofsky, asked him to score his first movie: π (Pi). The concert will be the world premiere of fully symphonic Clint Mansell’s music, and will have the composer in attendance. With a program yet to be determined, music from movies such as: Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, Doom, Moon or Black Swan are good candidates for the evening.

TWO STEPS FROM HELL ‘LIVE IN CONCERT’
20th of April 2018, 7:00 pm – Forum Karlin, Prague
The program will include music composed by Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix (Two Steps from hell), famous for their music written for teasers and trailers of Hollywood blockbusters. The concert will include symphony orchestra, choir and soloist, performing under baton of Petr Pololanik. There will also be a special lighting design prepared for the occasion, in an original production of Film Music Prague festival. Note that composers Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix will be festival guests but not performers.

ABOUT FILM MUSIC PRAGUE
FILM MUSIC PRAGUE is a festival that focuses on scores straight from renowned films and attracts guests from all over the world. In past festivals they have featured composers such as Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away), Elliot Goldenthal (Frida), Craig Armstrong (Love Actually), Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek), Fernando Velázquez (The Orphanage), Rachel Portman (Chocolat), Jan Kaczmarek (Finding Neverland), Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter 4), Nicholas Hooper (Harry Potter 5&6) and Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust).
The festival also supports the development of cancer cures by donating part of their proceeds to leading organizations in the Czech Republic, and they also invite children from orphanages to visit the festival free of charge to enjoy the exciting and powerful world of film music.
