Varèse Sarabande will release the CHAPPIE – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, digitally on March 10 and on CD March 17, 2015. The film features original music by Hans Zimmer (INTERSTELLAR, 12 YEARS A SLAVE) – his first all-electronic score in 25 years with additional music by Steve Mazzaro & Andrew Kawczynski.

Hans Zimmer has scored more than 120 films, which have, combined, grossed over 24 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. He has been honored with an Academy Award®, two Golden Globes®, three Grammys®, an American Music Award, and a Tony® Award. His most recent Academy Award nomination for Interstellar marks his 10th career Oscar nomination with the Academy. In 2003, ASCAP presented him with the prestigious Henry Mancini award for Lifetime Achievement for his impressive and influential body of work. He also received his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010, and in 2014 was honored with the Zurich Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award. Zimmer recently completed his first concerts in the UK, “Hans Zimmer Revealed,” at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo.

CHAPPIE, Neill Blomkamp’s sci-fi thriller co-written and directed by Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium), follows a robot named Chappie who is kidnapped by two criminals and becomes the adopted son of a very strange and dysfunctional family. It stars Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, Ninja and Yo-Landi Visser, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Sigourney Weaver, as well as Sharlto Copley as the voice of Chappie.
Columbia Pictures presents CHAPPIE in theaters and IMAX on March 6, 2015. The CHAPPIE – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Varèse Sarabande, will be available digitally on March 10 and on CD March 17, 2015.
