Featuring Original Music By Marc Streitenfeld

Lakeshore Records will release the AFTER THE FALL – Original Motion Picture Score digitally on December 23rd and on CD March 10, 2015.  The album features the film’s original score by Marc Streitenfeld (THE GREY, KILLING THEM SOFTLY, PROMETHEUS).

“The process on this project was very unique. I would write a lot of the pieces freely, not to picture, but with just a character or an emotion in mind,” said Streitenfeld.  “Since the director, Saar Klein is also a very accomplished editor, he often cut the picture to my compositions. While some of the composition influenced the edit other pieces were written to the cut. This way we archived an unusual symbiotic and natural exchange between picture and music.”

Award winning composer Marc Streitenfeld is known for his unique and original film scoring style. His work ranges from high profile Hollywood features to edgy independent films. Streitenfeld was born in Munich, Germany and relocated to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to pursue a career in music. In 2008, after composing the BAFTA nominated score for AMERICAN GANGSTER, Streitenfeld won the prestigious “Discovery of the Year” Award at the World Soundtrack Awards.

Since then, besides composing numerous films for legendary director Ridley Scott, including the Sci-Fi adventure PROMETHEUS he has collaborated with some of today’s most unique directors such as Joe Carnahan on the action drama THE GREY, and Andrew Dominic on the crime thriller KILLING THEM SOFTLY. Marc most recently composed the score for the independent drama AFTER THE FALL, the directorial debut of Oscar® nominated editor Saar Klein and the upcoming Marc Forster helmed TV series HAND OF GOD.  He is currently working on MGM’s POLTERGEIST, directed by Gil Kenan.

AFTER THE FALL is a film about desperate times calling for dangerous measures. When everyday family man Bill (Wes Bentley) loses his job, his peaceful life quickly spirals out of control. Terrified that he will lose everything he has achieved, he turns to a life of crime, descending into drastic and dangerous measures to stay ahead of the law. As he fights to provide for his family, Bill discovers that the only thing worse than getting caught is getting away with it.
