A Life Between London and Hollywood was a featured panel discussion at the Film Music Prague 2018 festival, showcasing acclaimed British composers Daniel Pemberton and Ilan Eshkeri. Organised and Moderated by film music journalist and the festival’s Head of Industry, Eleni Mitsiaki, the talk explored the unique realities, creative processes, and dual-coastal careers of British film composers.

Βalancing independent European projects with major Hollywood studio productions, it explored the contrasting creative freedoms of European indie projects versus the bureaucratic constraints of major Hollywood studios. The discussion also addressed the logistical challenges of maintaining London-based studios while managing transatlantic careers, rejecting restrictive temp tracks, and blending classical roots with innovative sound design.
