ABOUT JEREMIAH FRAITES

Jeremiah Fraites is a co-founder, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist of the GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum band The Lumineers. In 2025, Fraites continues expanding his artistic voice, stepping into the world of film scoring with collaborations alongside acclaimed filmmakers Scott Cooper and Francis Lawrence. His original score for Cooper’s Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere will arrive in theaters via 20th Century Studios on October 24, 2025, followed by his work on Lionsgate’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Long Walk, premiering September 12, 2025. These projects mark the beginning of a bold new chapter for Fraites, bringing his narrative instincts, orchestral writing, and emotional depth to an entirely new audience.
Since co-founding The Lumineers in 2005 with Wesley Schultz, Fraites has been instrumental in shaping the band’s globally recognized sound. He co-wrote chart-topping hits including “Ophelia”, “Cleopatra”, and “Stubborn Love”, and has performed to sold-out stadiums and festivals worldwide. His songwriting and composition are defined by emotional depth, stripped-back instrumentation, and lyrical sensitivity, qualities that carry through his solo albums and orchestral film scores, highlighting his ability to move effortlessly between intimate storytelling and expansive, cinematic soundscapes.
In 2021, Fraites released his critically acclaimed solo debut, Piano Piano, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover Albums chart, via Dualtone Records (U.S. and Canada) and Mercury KX (international). The piano-driven, instrumental album is a deeply personal body of work written over the course of a decade and recorded entirely at home in Denver, Colorado. Demonstrating extraordinary versatility, Fraites not only composed all orchestral arrangements but also performed nearly every instrument himself, including piano, drums, guitar, and synths, supported by cinematic performances from a 40-piece orchestra.
Fraites’ follow-up, Piano Piano 2 (2024), also debuted at #1, solidifying his place as an artist whose music transcends genres and formats. Born and raised in Ramsey, New Jersey, Fraites was drawn to music from a young age, first captivated by Beethoven’s piano sonatas before teaching himself drums and, later, returning to piano as his primary compositional voice. His solo work reveals a style that bridges classical traditions and storytelling with evocative emotional textures, underscoring his unique ability to craft music that’s as intimate as it is cinematic.
Whether scoring films, composing orchestral pieces, or writing chart-topping hits, Fraites continues to explore themes of vulnerability and human connection. With his entrance into film composition already generating attention, he’s poised to bring his distinctive voice and multi-instrumental mastery to an even broader creative landscape.
