Music Composed by BLAIR MOWAT

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to the compelling documentary THE AGE OF DISCLOSURE with music by BAFTA-nominated composer Blair Mowat (Nolly) is now available.  The 28-track album releases today on music streaming platforms. The film is now in select theatres and currently on Amazon Prime Video On Demand.

Directed by filmmaker Dan Farah and featuring 34 U.S. Government insiders, this explosive documentary reveals an 80-year global cover-up of non-human intelligent life and a secret war among major nations to reverse engineer advanced technology of non-human origin.

On the topic of scoring the film, Blair Mowat says, “For THE AGE OF DISCLOSURE, I set out to compose a score that approached a frequently sensationalized subject with clarity and humanity. The documentary explores the testimonies of 34 government officials who have publicly described encounters with non-human intelligence – a topic that has too often been dismissed in the past.”

He continues, “I wanted the music to help guide the audience on this journey and be a grounding force that supports the seriousness of the stakes discussed. Director Dan Farah envisioned a score equal in scale to the material itself: muscular and visceral when examining potential threats to humanity, yet supportive and reflective when capturing the courage and vulnerability of those risking their careers, reputations, and safety to speak out. The music traces their emotional arc, from quiet resolve to the moments they state publicly that objects are moving through our skies in ways that defy our laws of physics and appear not to be made by humankind.

The score leans heavily on orchestral writing, with a large recorded string orchestra adding to the humanity that underpins the documentary. Just as the film connects the dots between credible, on-the-record evidence, the music does the same – threading recurring motifs that bring together the documentary’s many voices and revelations into a cohesive whole.

By the time I finished the score, working on the project had genuinely opened my mind to the topic. It is a matter of fact that there are objects in our skies that defy explanation, and this documentary shows that the implications of that warrant serious and urgent attention.”
