T-65b Records announces the release of the Original Game Soundtrack for Giant Squid’s latest game, SWORD OF THE SEA, with music by multiple award-winning composer Austin Wintory! SWORD OF THE SEA continues the exploration of humanity’s relationship with nature. Austin’s score, however, is a departure from their previous work. Instead of the lush impressionist sound of ABZU or the sprawling “global folk” music of The Pathless, his new soundtrack focuses on solo piano and children’s choir. It also incorporates solo strings (including cellist Tina Guo), custom-built Native American drone flutes and winds performed by Kristin Naigus, men’s choir, and electronics. As with all their games, the music is highly dynamic and adapts to the player’s progression.
