Air-Edel Records present the original soundtrack to The Doom Busters directed by Jack McHenry.
This wonderfully nostalgic score by Ben Pearson is a must-listen for any synth fan, featuring he
iconic sounds of the Juno GI.
Early on Jack [McHenry] felt that despite making a film set in the 1940’s, he wanted it to have a synth heavy score reminiscent of sci fi films made in the 80’s (Predator). Whilst being set in the sleepy English countryside the adventure our characters find themselves on, is worlds apart from that. Once I started having ideas, I realised that the ‘doom’ they were ‘busting’ was not just the monster in the woods, but their own self-doubts and fears. I decided to limit myself to working only with a Juno GI synthesiser and some guitars which led me towards it’s nostalgic and playful sound. It was pure fun to make!
